• Smell certainly comes first, so if the room smells odd, you have lost a prospective client! The visually impaired and hearing can smell a soulless environment more than most people… so never, ever under-estimate your clients’ awareness to surroundings.

• Unless you offer refreshments the sense of taste is fairly limited, however fresh filtered water is mandatory. Clients who travel great distances should be offered good quality tea or coffee.

• Feeling comfortable is vital so a room that feels calm will go a long way to building a level of professionalism. A relaxed confident therapist can only enhance the whole ambiance.
