Seichem Healing

Seichem originally came from Egypt, was translated from hieroglyphs from the Shin Yon Buddhists of that period in India, then to Japan. Seichem is the energy of the Universe manifested through the Goddess Energy. Known to Buddhists as Quan Yin and by the Egyptians as Sekmet. In ancient Egypt Sekmet was considered the Mother of The Gods and also the Goddess of Healing.

An American first introduced Seichem in the 1980’s. Patrick Zeigler prayed, meditated and fasted to become even more empowered, much in the same way as Dr. Usui when he rediscovered Reiki. Zeigler needed confirmation, and was not prepared to take Seichem at face value. He met up with Marat an old Seichim teacher from southern India, who passed what little history there was of Seichim to Zeigler.

The Power or Might of Seichem Healing

In ancient Egypt the term Sekem was described as Power or Might. Sekem, Seichem, Seichim, (there are many variations of the name) contain aspects that are not often associated with female energy which strength, power and logic. Power and strength is often thought of as force, however nothing is further than the truth. Power has no bearing on force. An example of force in modern times would be anyone who coerced and bullied others to work for them against their will, to someone who asked the person to work for them. There are many examples of force in society today and these can range from emotional, mental and physical.

Masculine and Feminine Energy of Seichem Healing

Reiki works within one element (earth) and is predominately masculine (yang). Seichem works in three elements (air, fire and water) and is predominately feminine (yin). To be a truly inspirational Reiki therapist the ability to work elegantly from masculine to the feminine is important. In many teaching establishments if a student failed to work within each of the male and female energies elegantly, failure was guaranteed. This may seem harsh, however if the healer stayed too long in yang the healing may seem bold and authoritative. While this energy is suitable for cognitive and behaviour change, this energy would be too harsh in bereavement and death where a more nurturing energy would be required. Being trained well enough to know the difference is absolutely a must in all healing.

Seichem and Reiki

Seichem healing energy is helpful for women with female problems, birth, pregnancy, hormone problems, PMT, infertility, menopause and any serious illness or condition such as cancer. Seichem takes you back to the very core of your being, enfolding, nurturing, caring and supporting you; and this is why Seichem is so wonderful with life threatening illnesses. The sense of nurturing in times of need is no more than the desire to go back to your parents when scared and ill. There is no age barrier to fear and a desire to seek nurturing when frightened.

Female Wisdom of Seichem

The healing energy of Seichem operates through power, sometimes physical, but usually mentally and emotionally. For centuries women have been known to be emotionally stronger and more resilient when needed. By helping the student to re-establish the feminine wisdom, a wisdom, which may have been denied or may have gone unrecognized, Seichem brings back the Goddess from within. Men also like yin energy, especially when frightened before operations or when dying. We all liked to be taken care of from time to time and there is no better way than when a therapist can draws on both masculine and feminine energy. 

Traffic Lights Tools of Reiki & Seichem

For serious seekers the most important way to know which training is right for you is to listen to your heart. Use the system that works for most people, traffic lights and something we are all familiar with, even if you do not drive. If you sense the colour amber, then proceed with caution, be open-minded and you will receive signs to tell you are on the right track. Green means go and red means stop, quite simple really! The traffic light system will be felt in your heart, mind and higher self. You will bypass the ego and the fearful basic brain by using this simple method. At this level of awareness you will always find the right person to teach you - once you have the made the decision to do Reiki and Seichem.

Reiki and Seichem Together

The most asked question amongst students is, “Can I do both Reiki and Seichem together?” The answer to this question is a resounding yes! Combining both strengthens the Reiki energy, but also balances the elements, which is more natural and healthy. One element without the other is like a parent without a child, mind without a conscience and a body without a heart and soul.
